International colloquium to address the topic of teaching the decorative arts, as seen by various leading proponents of the Art Nouveau movement. It also attracted attention throughout Europe, at the many Art Nouveau creation centers. The impact of the planned international colloquium will be particularly far-reaching, since it opens concurrently with a major exhibition on the relationship between the Art Nouveau typical of La Chaux-de-Fonds (known as “Style sapin” or fir-tree style) and the socio-political context that gave rise to it.
